  • Lecture notes for Vanier EWM's Ecological Research Techniques class have been posted!
  • As of February 1, 2009: Vanier AHT notes are posted for Exotic Animal Care.
  • Clearly, my goal to get the entire site updated to the new format (with better referencing) by Christmas was too ambitious. Hopefully things will get rolling again, soon.
  • As of November 25, 2008: Vanier AHT notes for Basic Animal Care I have been posted.

Herptile
or herp: A slang, collective term used to describe reptiles and amphibians, derived from "herpetology" (the study of reptiles and amphibians).

Your First Herp:
Like cats and dogs, reptiles and amphibians are rewarding animals but are not suitable companion animals for everyone. Many species should be left completely to very advanced hobbyists and zoos.
